The travel basketball season is still first a time for development - bottom line. It should be competitive, but also skill based. We will train boys and girls teams that give each athlete the chance to continue to improve individually while learning more about the game through competition and team play.

Where do we travel to compete? Most tournaments we participate in are regional: Greensboro, Winston Salem, Kingsport, Johnson City, etc. Our schedule will be set, but will be flexible if things change or a large part of the roster cannot make a tournament. Most of these tournaments are just one day (Saturdays). Most teams will play two tournaments a month. Why should my athlete play travel basketball for Peak? Peak is developmental (you will get better). Peak will afford the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the game and how to develop team play. Peak is FUN! Our Mission is: To support kids in becoming people of integrity who will lead their peers, chase their dreams, model responsibility for others, and do good in the world. We want to use the game of basketball as a vehicle to teach athletes how to develop strong character by working hard, investing in themselves and others, and pursuing goals through adversity. Can I play Rec Basketball at the same time? You can. We do not want to discourage you from playing more basketball. This year the season starts line up (Jan.-Mar.), and we ask that you communicate times to your coach and be at everything you can. Tournaments on Saturday’s may conflict with some Saturday Rec games. |
