Athletes! Are you getting shots up this summer? Not knowing what to do is a poor excuse to not be putting in the work. Here is an example of a shooting workout you can do by yourself or with a rebounder for 200 makes. There is some choice here of what you want to work on. Be creative, tweak it so it fits what you want to work at! I also challenge you to try and write your own workout!
200 Makes: Warm Up - Form Shoot (Swish 10 from just a few feet in front of the rim) Make ten from each of the 5 spots (corner, wing, top, wing, corner) (50) Make ten from both wings in the midrange, catching off inside foot (toss from baseline in front of you, catch turn shoot) (20) From the Right wing, Make ten pull-ups going right and ten pull-ups going left (20) From the Left wing, Make ten pull-ups going right and ten pull-ups going left (20) Make ten free throws (10) Make ten full speed layups going to your strong hand (work on a finish you like) (10) Make twenty full speed layups going to your weak hand (work on a finish you like) (20) Make ten free throws (10) From the Top of the key, Make ten pull-ups going right and ten pull-ups going left (20) Make two from each at spot at the edge of your range: corner, wing, top, wing, corner (10) (*Finish with 2 in a row) Make ten free throws (10) (*Finish with 2 in a row) Total = 200 *As you complete this workout, count how many shots it takes you to get these makes! Write it down, and try to beat your best each time you train. Comments are closed.
