There are plenty of books and opinions available for discourse on being successful in life. I want to stop and zoom in a bit. How do we measure success today? You have the day in front of you that you woke up to. What does success look like for you today?
Push yourself to get 1% better. This looks different for each of us, but progress on who you were yesterday. This zoomed in personal growth breads long term success. Connect with others. Relationships are really what it’s all about. Listen, share moments, compliment, laugh, encourage, impact others in your day. Build on your fitness. I tend to say sweat everyday, but I believe their are plenty of ways to work on fitness without a sweat. Meditate, relax/recover, workout, catch up on sleep, listen to your body and push your own fitness in some way. Love yourself. Finding yourself at odds with who you are is a huge detractor to success. Highlight in your own mind the things you love about yourself. As you chase a better, future you, be sure to stop and appreciate who you are now, and build that positive self image. Rarely have two days looked so similar as they have lately. We have certain restrictions placed on us that we’ve never really dealt with up to this point. And with that, we must keep perspective on the small picture of what success means for today. One day at a time. And, in the long run, that will be enough. (Reminder: these 4 things above are easy to do. They are also easy not to do. Choose discipline!!) #getbetter Comments are closed.
