How disciplined are you to get better on days you don’t “feel motivated” to do so? Summer is a great time to relax, reflect, and reset. One important area to evaluate and manage? …how hard you are chasing your own growth.
Make a list of the areas in your life where you want to be great and know you must chase growth. Rate yourself on a scale of 1-5 in terms of how hard you are trying to grow in each area. 1-I am not chasing growth here (must change habits or change your goals) 2-I am below average in my approach to get better here 3-I steadily find ways to grow each week here 4-I consistently push forward, fail, and chase growth here 5-I think daily about growth, live outside my comfort zone and set a standard for how to work towards getting better here. A players list may look like: Ball Handling, Finishing with either hand, Leadership, Self discipline Someone like me may have a list like: Leadership development, Coaching, Player development, Entrepreneurship, Relationship building This honesty and self reflection will help you frame your goals, and will reinforce your mindset on days you don’t feel like putting in some work. Turn your 2’s/3’s into a 4 or 5 with consistency and intentionality. Push into growth this summer, starting now! #getbetter Comments are closed.
