Getting better takes work. Nothing great happens without hard work. But more importantly, it takes consistent work. Showing up as your best self day after day is tiring and challenging, but it is what we are meant to do.
Getting better is not quick. It is the story of the tortoise and the hare…stay after it in a disciplined manner over time to reach your goals, don’t just assume you can sprint one week and end up where you want to be.
Getting better takes a conscious daily approach. Focus on the habits that make you more like who you want to be, and commit to those over and over and over again. There is no secret sauce, there is just the discipline to do what you already know to do. This is easy to describe, but very hard to live.
Let’s strive to get better daily. Put in the work, practice the patience, and recommit daily. Try, fail, and continue to try again. And better.
