The feeling of a truly difficult and noble accomplishment is hard to beat. Reaching a goal or getting somewhere through hard work that you maybe thought wasn’t possible is one of the best human emotions. But isn’t part of that feeling the fact that we get to share it with others?
I think of joy, pride, accomplishment, and success and I also instantly think of sharing those feelings with people that care. Sometimes we accomplish with others as a part of a team, and sometimes we have individual glory or accolade. But either way, it is in the sharing of the feat that we fully experience the joy. Everyone needs support, teammates, mentors, fans, and friends. These are the people that help us reach great heights, and then share in the joy when we get there. No one does it alone. Hideki Matsuyama won the Master’s on Sunday. Hideki said in a later interview that his joy around winning first took hold of him as he saw and hugged his caddy, Shota. He just won a major golf tournament, and he thought of his caddy and that it was his first major win as a caddy, and that brought him a great feeling. Wow. Let that sink in. No one does it alone. Being a winner requires relying on others. See Hideki here relive the last put. Comments are closed.
