A massive but also simple truth in our lives is that the results we get reflect on the choices we make. Think about the different behaviors you act on in your life. Choices you are making, whether conscious or subconscious, and how you operate. Many behaviors are positive and surely some are negative. Take a moment to be intentional about why you choose these behaviors and analyze what results they are producing in your life.
When we watch tv at night mindlessly instead of finishing a project we have due, we let down our team members the next day when we are further behind in our work. If we turn the tv off and read a great book, we increase our knowledge, learn something, and probably sleep better. If we eat at a fast food restaurant, our result is low energy and, overtime, weight gain. If we buy spinach at the grocery store and make a salad, we get healthy fuel for our body. When we practice gratitude, we have more satisfaction and less stress each day. If we gossip about others, we increase our own insecurity and degrade our teams and relationships. Each behavior has influence on outcomes in our lives. The results in front of us are always feedback of choices we have made. If we are being honest with ourselves, this is the most important truth to buy into as we take control to become our best selves. What you do, what you don’t do, and how you do it will make a difference today and tomorrow. What results do you want? Comments are closed.
