Season Grind

I came across an article with NBA veterans offering advice to rookies as they start their first season. It is a quick read and gives good advice and thoughts for younger players too. It’s been a long year without much organized basketball. It’s going to be a different season than anyone has experienced before. No matter how far along in your basketball career you are, think of these points as you head into your basketball season…

• Put in the work (“Make sure that you are continually working on your game.”)
• Take care of your body (Nutrition, rest)
• Practice, Practice, Practice (“When hard work becomes your daily habit, you will have success.”)
• Manage the wear and tear of travel/games
• Expect better competition (“I thought I'd made it already when I was drafted, but that wasn't true.”)
