Fighting through physical fatigue isn’t easy, but an athlete must be capable of doing it. The more you prove to yourself that you are tough enough, the further you can continue to push. This is why we train hard as athletes, to strengthen that muscle (the mind) that allows you to keep pushing and not give up. To build our endurance, and our belief in our endurance.
The ability to push beyond the feeling of fatigue in our body is similar to pushing through our mental fatigue. An athlete’s mind is trained to push through mental fatigue and find an extra gear. Focus a little longer, think more clearly, remain positive through struggle. And really, we are all “athletes”. Mental and emotional endurance are difficult to train, but you can draw from it through struggles in life. Build stamina with a few tips: -Control your self talk: encourage yourself, multiply your energy with your thoughts, eliminate self-defeating thoughts. -Compete with yesterday: build on what you were able to do yesterday by doing more today. -Believe this: You are stronger than you think. We often limit ourselves. Be an athlete in your mind! You can do anything, handle anything, and recover from anything. #getbetter Comments are closed.
