Are we doing enough difficult things? If you think back to times when you completed something challenging, you remember the sense of achievement that it gave you. After you take a hard test with a lot of anticipation, you feel glad you prepared and glad that it’s finished. When you complete that big project that pushed you and challenged you, you feel alive. After grinding through a tough workout, there is always a sense of gained power over what you just accomplished. It’s the hard stuff that gives us energy, life’s energy.
Go after the difficult thing. Often the hard stuff is the important stuff. It is only when we are struggling that we are growing. Sometimes, you have to lean in to these moments intentionally, versus running from them. Ask yourself what you have done lately that was hard and challenging. Then go create more opportunities to do it again and again. Challenges are all around us, if we aren’t running from them. Comments are closed.
